Good strata projects often stall at the voting stage because owners receive technical quotes they cannot compare, or a proposal that does not answer their questions. Our Owners Corporation Proposal and Report turns your energy project into clear papers for the committee and owners: what is proposed, what it costs, what incentives may apply, what owners are being asked to approve and what the risks are.

The proposal is priced from $990 per building as an indicative starting price, confirmed in writing once we know the project scope.

What's included

  • Summary of the project options, such as solar, battery, EV charging or a combination
  • Indicative costs, estimated savings and payback for each option
  • Incentives that may apply, with their conditions and key dates
  • Notes on the motions and by-laws owners may need to consider, for your strata manager to finalise
  • Risk section covering approvals, timing, maintenance, insurance and incentive changes
  • Answers to common owner questions in plain English
  • A short summary suitable for the meeting notice

Why Blue Energy Solar

We design and install solar, batteries and EV chargers, so the costs and technical details in the proposal are realistic. We write for owners, not engineers, and we set out risks honestly rather than presenting only the benefits. Blue Energy Solar is a New Energy Tech Approved Seller, which NSW strata funding requires, and our installers are SAA-accredited. The committee reviews a draft before anything goes to owners.

Recommended for

Strata committees with a solar, battery or EV charging project in mind that need clear papers to put before owners at a general meeting.

The proposal can build on an existing feasibility study or on a site assessment we carry out as part of the scope. Our by-law and motion notes are practical guidance only: your strata manager, and a strata lawyer where needed, must confirm the exact wording and the type of resolution required.

Incentive values, including the NSW apartment building battery incentives available from 1 September 2026, can change, so confirm them on the official pages before the owners corporation signs any contract.

Directions

1. The committee requests the proposal and shares any existing reports, quotes and the meeting timetable.
2. We confirm the scope and fixed price in writing, including any site assessment needed.
3. We prepare the options, costs, incentives, motion and by-law notes and risks.
4. The committee reviews a draft and we make the agreed changes.
5. We deliver the final proposal in time for the meeting notice.

Warnings

The price shown is an indicative starting price; the final fixed price is confirmed in writing after we review the project scope.
Motion and by-law notes are guidance only and must be finalised by the strata manager or a lawyer.
Costs, savings and incentive figures are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Any works require owners corporation approval and may need council and network approval.
Presentation at the meeting is available as a separate service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not always. If the building already has a feasibility study or firm quotes, the proposal can build on them. If not, the scope includes enough site assessment to give reliable options and costs. For larger buildings or combined solar, battery and EV projects, a full feasibility study first usually gives owners more confidence.

We provide notes on what the motion and any by-law may need to cover, such as the use of common property, the budget, maintenance responsibilities and cost sharing. The final wording and type of resolution must be prepared or confirmed by your strata manager or lawyer, because they are responsible for the meeting's legal requirements.

Allow enough time for a draft, committee review and the notice period for your meeting. For most buildings that means requesting the proposal at least six to eight weeks before the notice is due to go out. If a site assessment is needed, allow a little more time.

Yes, where the numbers clearly favour one option, and we explain why. Where options are close, we show the trade-offs and leave the choice to owners. The proposal is designed to help owners make an informed decision, not to push a particular outcome.
