A complete solar and battery system in one project: JA Solar panels, a hybrid inverter and an LFP battery, designed so you use more of your own solar at night, with backup options.
From $13,490 (6.6 kW solar + 10 kWh battery, installed), including GST. Indicative starting price: the final fixed price is confirmed in writing after a site assessment.
Solar panels produce most in the middle of the day, but many homes use most of their power in the evening. A hybrid solar and battery system closes that gap: surplus daytime solar charges the battery, and the battery runs the home after sunset instead of buying grid electricity at higher evening rates. With feed-in tariffs now commonly only a few cents per kWh, storing your solar is often worth more than exporting it.
A 6.6 kW solar and 10 kWh battery system starts from $13,490 installed, after STCs and the federal battery discount. This is an indicative starting price; the final fixed price is confirmed in writing after a site assessment.
Installing solar and a battery together avoids paying twice for inverters and electrical work, and lets us design the whole system as one. We match battery size to your evening usage rather than selling the biggest battery available, and we are clear about what backup can and cannot run during a blackout. Our team handles the rebate paperwork and grid application, and stays available after installation to help you get the settings right as your household changes.
Households without solar who want to store daytime generation for evening use and prepare for blackouts.
Federal battery discount: the Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes roughly 30% off the installed cost of a battery installed with solar, at approximately $272 per kWh for the first 14 kWh and $163 per kWh from 14 to 28 kWh. It needs an approved battery and an SAA-accredited installer, and the value steps down every 1 January and 1 July to 2030.
STCs also discount the solar, roughly $1,700-$1,800 off a typical 6.6 kW system in 2026. The NSW household battery installation incentive has been suspended since 30 June 2025, so for most households it no longer stacks. Confirm current values on the official pages before signing.
Published Sydney ranges are $4,500-$6,500 for 6.6 kW solar and $8,000-$11,000 for a 10 kWh battery after the federal discount.
1. Request a quote and share recent electricity bills.
2. We visit to assess the roof, switchboard, battery location and backup needs.
3. You receive a written design and fixed price with the STC and battery discounts applied.
4. Once you accept, we lodge the grid-connection application and schedule installation.
5. Our team installs, tests and commissions the solar, inverter, battery and backup circuits.
6. We set up monitoring, explain the operating modes and lodge the incentive paperwork.
The price shown is an indicative starting price for 6.6 kW solar with a 10 kWh battery; the final fixed price is confirmed in writing after a site assessment and quote.
Discounts depend on program eligibility, an approved battery and certificate values at the time of installation.
Connection is subject to approval by your local electricity network, which may set an export limit.
Whole-home backup, switchboard upgrades and difficult battery locations are quoted separately where required.
The battery location must meet Australian Standards for clearances, ventilation and fire safety.
