Many solar inverters show how much the panels produce, but not how much of that energy your home or business uses, or how much you import from the grid in the evening. Without consumption data, it's hard to judge whether a battery would pay off, which appliances drive your bills or whether your system is performing as it should.
An energy monitoring dashboard uses current transformer (CT) sensors in your switchboard to measure grid import, export, solar production and, if you choose, individual circuits such as air-conditioning or hot water. Our licensed electricians install the hardware and we set up the dashboard with you. Pricing starts from $590 per site, installed and set up. We rely on monitoring data when sizing batteries and diagnosing solar performance, so we set it up to answer useful questions, not just to show graphs. If your existing inverter or battery already offers consumption monitoring, we will tell you before you spend money. Monitoring shows the problem; it doesn't fix it. The value comes from what you do with the data, such as moving loads into solar hours, choosing a better tariff or sizing a battery correctly.
Three-phase supplies, multiple solar inverters and extra circuit sensors add hardware and time. Readings are for your information and may differ slightly from your electricity meter, which remains the basis for billing. A stable Wi-Fi signal at the switchboard is needed; if the signal is weak, we may recommend a network extender. After several months of data, a battery or tariff review becomes far more accurate.
